Today every breeder is required to respect certain limits regarding the use of antibiotic drugs in their animals and, consequently, paying more attention to the prevention of diseases connected to the digestive system is strictly essential.
There are several aspects to take into consideration but today we want to talk to you about our systems designed to ensure proper nutrition both in the weaning phase and in adulthood: the mangers.
There are four main categories of feeders to consider:
Feeders with boxes
Available in stainless steel versions with fall regulator and place separator for piglets or fattening pigs. They are custom made to your specific needs and can be supplied in single- or double-sided versions. They consist of a solid structure and can be fixed to the floor or to the wall, moreover they are installed on a frame for rapid disassembly of the feeder by the operator;
Wet and dry feeders
Available in various versions with both a steel plate and a polymer concrete plate. Both solutions included the water distribution system with troughs positioned above the plate.
RONDOMAT feeders with dosing system
The RONDOMAT is a sensor-controlled piglet feeder that helps ensure a smooth post-weaning transition to weaner feed. It is suitable for stationing in the center of the box and feeding up to 70 piglets. Thanks to a sensor system, it recognizes the presence of feed in the dish and automatically doses water and feed, in the quantities preset by the operator, only when the dish is completely empty. This allows only fresh feed to be made available to the pigs, with the desired dilution and reducing waste. Various tests carried out have demonstrated an average increase in the weight of the animals of 35 grams per day per head compared to growth with normal feeders or feeders. All this turns into an immediate economic gain for the farmer.
Feeders for piglets and for early stages
These feeders can be attached to the slatted floor using quick hooks and allow the piglets to be fed in the farrowing room or during the first weaning period. They are easily removable and are available in PVC or stainless steel.
