In only 9 months (from the excavation to the entrance of the pigs) we built a shed for piglets from 6 to 30 kg unique in its kind. A total area of 9720 m2 (300 x 32.4 m) houses 55 rooms with 420 piglets for a total of 23100 animals. The external building envelope with high level of insulation: external walls in reinforced concrete 35 cm thick with thermal break and metal covering structure in hot galvanized steel with sandwich panel.
The ventilation system (made by our company and FANCOM) has been sized for possible overloads of pigs up to 50 kg. All 55 rooms are managed with central control units also remotely via smartphone.
